Kids are prone to be electrocuted if we are, as a parent, not careful enough in installing electrical equipment.
Even, when the electronic and electricity are properly set this risk is still possible to happen. Thus you can minimize the risk by giving your kids some safety rules dealing with electricity.
Tell them that they need to apply the rules in and outside of home. Firstly, explain what they should pay attention when they are at home and deal with electricity.
You can start explaining that electricity is dangerous and can cause death. Then you can tell them simple things like the following. Make sure that they understand to always grab the plug part to remove some electrical appliances from the electrical outlet.
Never unplug them by pulling the cord. Don't play with electricity socket or outlet, like trying to put fingers into it. This is really dangerous as they can get electrocuted.
Then tell them that water is risky if it encounters electricity. Therefore, do not touch water if you are using electrical devices, especially while they are in the bathroom. Keep the electrical wires from hair dryers away from water.
It is also important to avoid using the device or any electrical equipment when you are still wet. Moving on to the kitchen, you can tell them to never put toasters or any other electrical devices near water source, like sink, and heat source, such as microwave.
Tell them that stainless steel cook and dinnerware conduct electricity easily so that they will be careful to keep away those utensils from electric devices. Or, if you are not sure your kids understand the idea, just forbid them to put anything into the microwave without your favor.
One more thing which is also important to do inside the home is to unplug all electrical devices when they are not in use. Tell them this rule as well.
When they are outside the house, they also should be careful for anything prone to accidents caused by electricity. Tell them that it is dangerous to play around high-voltage electric system.
If your kids like swimming much, this is important to give understanding that swimming under the storms is dangerous. They can be electrocuted by lightning. Additionally, since your kids are likely to climb some trees, tell them to be careful and make sure that the trees have no electrical wires going through them.
